Itinerario

Day 1 - Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the Akagera Aviation team, who will then introduce you to the Primate Safaris team for a brief overview of your upcoming journey. Begin your day with a tour of Kigali, visiting the Gisozi Genocide Memorial to gain insights into Rwanda’s poignant history. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant before embarking on a scenic 3-hour drive through the picturesque Rwandan countryside, heading to Ruhengeri, the base for gorilla trekking at Volcanoes National Park.
Distance & Time: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park (~105 km, 3 hours)
Overnight: One & Only Gorilla’s Nest (Full Board)

Day 2 - Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for registration and a briefing on the day’s gorilla trekking. The trek can last between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures, capturing unforgettable moments through photos. Afterward, return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch before beginning the scenic 3-hour drive back to Kigali.

Day 3 - Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey, reflecting on the memories of a truly unforgettable wildlife experience.
